Take the time - benefit from your benefits!

Life can always change, you have to adjust. - Drake
Nothing will work unless you do. - Maya Angelou
Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans. - John Lennon
Time - it just speeds along. At this posting, we’re just one month away from half the year being over. Just how did that happen? Who knows. But there it is.
That being the case, now is a very good time to review your insured benefits package, and develop a strategic plan for using your therapeutic massage benefits in a way which will benefit you - before the end of 2019!
Academy Massage Therapy has added 3 more providers to its number of direct billing insurers. This list now includes:

Only 2 business days are required prior to your massage appointment - to create your profile for direct billing.
Please note: NO DIRECT BILL FEES are ADDED
For your convenience, Academy Massage also provides a number of other common insurance company claim forms. You can print the appropriate form, fill it out and submit it to your provider for the appropriate refund.

Insured benefits operate on the condition of ‘use it’ or ‘lose it’, in which dollars not spent by the end of the year are gone, and you can’t get them back, so for Debby MacKenzie, owner of Academy Massage Therapy, it’s important to remind people to make good use of their insurance plans.

“How you decide to use your massage therapy benefits is entirely up to you,” says Debby.

“For some people who live very busy lives - maybe a pop-in works best. While others may want to plan the months ahead, and still others may choose a Tuesday or Wednesday morning consult with one of our Registered Massage Therapists, followed by a massage treatment,” she offers.

“And if you have a specific concern, always talk to our helpful and informed front desk staff. We’ll help you work with your insured benefits and assist you in the development of a personalized treatment plan. We’ve always got your back!”

Academy Massage has experience working with many different types of policies, coverage requirements and amounts.

Certain policies require a physician’s prescription prior to treatment. An insurer may request a deductible be paid to them prior to treatment. For example, if 80% of your massage therapy treatment is covered by your insurance provider, you may be required to pay the remaining 20% upfront.

All plans are very different in their coverage, and it is important that you are aware of the details of your particular plan.

We look forward to helping you figure out the coverage your have through your insurer, and booking your massage therapy appointments.

Love,
Academy Massage Therapy

  2. I think massaging can only benefit when it is provided by the right kind of professionals and through the use of proper techniques.

  6. Massage therapists often work with clients who have physical and mental disabilities, and they should educate themselves in order to best provide massage therapy to this population. Often, special needs clients may not disclose medical ailments or their need for accommodation until they arrive for the appointment, so it is up to massage therapists to be well prepared to accommodate clients with varying needs.
