New words and waters, for a new season

September, is often seen as the month of new beginnings. There’s school starting, courses to sign up for, and the leaves changing colour. For many, the new season also means it’s the time to think things through again, or even consider new directions.

Words to live by

WHO you are is what makes you special. Do not change for anyone.
WHAT lies ahead will always for a mystery. Do not be afraid to explore.
WHEN life pushes you over, you push back harder.
WHERE there are choices to make, make the one you won’t regret.
WHY things happen, will never be certain. Take it in stride and move forward.

Refreshing water choices provide a lift to your spirit, as well as your body. Keeping hydrated is an important part of staying healthy. Water promotes cardiovascular health, maintains the body temperature, helps muscles and joints work better, and keeps skin supple.

Also remember to drink plenty of water, particularly after your massage! Drinking lots of water at this time will help flush out the toxins released during your massage, and rehydrate your muscles.

Here’s two simple and tasty recipes that promote hydration. Both recipes focus on berries, which thankfully are plentiful in the stores, and often on still on sale.

Very Berry Water

Ingredients:
1 cup raspberries
1 cup blueberries
1 cup black berries
water

Instructions:
add all the ingredients to a pitcher
stir
chill in the fridge 4 to 6 hours to infuse the flavours

Enjoy!

Kiwi Raspberry Rave

2 kiwis
1 cup raspberries
water

Instructions:
peel off the kiwi skin
cut the kiwis into slices
add all the ingredients to a pitcher
stir
chill in the fridge 4 to 6 hours to infuse the flavours

Aaahh!
